Ayahuasca

I look at you, in silence, through the windows of my querying eyes.

Trying to discover the secret within your mystery

ayahuasca

Your name gets my body drunk

Swinging in your braided vines

Soaring the infinite skies!

And no matter how much I try to control my strength

I fall, hesitant and weak

Before the sweet melody of your song

ayahuasca

Secret ladder of my ancestors

Exquisite
libation of the Amazonian gods

To walk on your path is not easy

Through vomits, fears and pains

I go through being born, dying and then being born again

In countless different worlds

I vomit you out many times

Through strong and pure tobacco

That caresses me every breath I take

I panic when I sense you coming closer

But then I recall, you heal and fortify me

I long to listen to your song one more time

To then submerge into your inner world

And navigate triumphantly

Through the gaze of your eyes,

Multicolored eyes that gaze upon me from near and far

Who can walk your ancestral footprints so true?

And follow
your lead …without drinking on a dark and quiet night,

The Bitter liquid of your sweet wisdom.

Grant me to wake up in your arms of red dreams

To feel you closer

And defy my fears

Trust in you as I walk

To listen to your maternal lullaby

Accompanied by the wise and profound shaman.
